Reviews for Swisher WB11524 Predator 24-Inch eleven.5 HP Gas Self-Propelled Brush Cutter (Lawn & Patio) Like others, I could not imagine a DR Field and Brush mower might be definitely value the $1000 more (although the DR does accept additional overpriced attachments).

So, I ordered the Swisher through Amazon. At first I was once given a supply date in 2 months, nevertheless it ended up arriving after 1 month -- still somewhat lengthy.

The mower was easy to assemble and at the begin worked great, chomping throughout the four feet grass and various blackberry brushes in my eratically sloped fields. Still an even amount of labor (on flat ground although it is vitally low effort), however after about 2 hours of use, the motor bring to a halt each time I engaged the mower!

So, I opened up the highest cover over the pully system, and no longericed a wire going from the motor to the safety change (detects when the mower is engaged and shuts it off when wanted, such as when striking it into reverse). The wire on the left facet of the mower (as considered from the rear handlebars) had come out of a little bit plastic clip meeting, had been flipping round underneath, and the insulation used to be stripped off and it was quicking to the chasis because it flopped around, causing the mower to chop out when it would quick. I repaired it quickly with friction tape and re-seating the wiring. Yesterday, I put some same old excessive temperature flex tubing around the entire wire meeting and then re-hooked it into the plastic clip. Its been OK ever on account that. Just having an extraordinarily thin wire hanging down below the mower looks as if very negative design, and flex tubing prices so little. The wire on the proper facet of the mower to the safety switch does have flex tubing, is routed to the aspect, and appears positive. The wire on the left facet is only a very bad design.

The rubber grips on the handlebar slip off simply -- one already fell off and subsequently obtained chewed up with the help of the mower. But I'd never use the skinnyg with out gloves -- the handlebar levers pinch your palms continuously with out gloves. In general, the handlebar assembly seems a bit low-cost.

    The B&S motor is excellent.
Reviews for Swisher WB11524 Predator 24-Inch eleven.5 HP Gas Self-Propelled Brush Cutter (Lawn & Patio) This skinnyg is a nice worth at about half the DR chipper brand worth. It was once smartly packaged with most effective minor handle and shift knob meeting needed. The Briggs engine ran a little rough at first but this went away after 5 min. I wrapped the gasoline strains that run proper up along the engine block with heavy foil. I had just replaced these traces on an awfully equivalent 25 hp Briggs after simplest three yrs - completely rotted from the heat. The brush cutter went through 4' tall heavy Texas weeds (up to 1" dia.) with no drawback.
Reviews for Swisher WB11524 Predator 24-Inch eleven.5 HP Gas Self-Propelled Brush Cutter (Lawn & Patio) I offered this machine because I in comparison prices, and this is the very best value available on the market. I learn the opposite evaluates, and took the precautions talked about. I used loctite on the handle bolts, wrapped the control cables with versatile tubing and zip-tied them, and used silicon glue on the handle-pads prior to my first use.

During use, you'll to find that this desktop is not going to lose fights with any weeds or brush. This is an effective product for the fee.
